Challenge #19 - By George!

Happy St. George's Day! – St. George is the patron saint of England, so let’s celebrate with our English friends.  The challenge for this week is to create a project that is very English.  Think dragons, knights or roses along with the English Flag.  Note: St. George's Day in the United Kingdom remembers St. George, England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is on April 23, is seen as England's national day. According to legend, he was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.

Let's get inspired by some of our design team members' projects.  First, Myra created this vintage pennant banner honoring St. George.  Click on the image for a closer look!

Susie, our design team member across the pond right in the midst of St. George festivities created these beautiful greeting cards.

Terry honored St. George with this phenomenal tag.

Please show us your St. George spirit and share your projects with us by leaving a link to your gallery or website in your comment!

Challenge #18 - Happy Easter

This week's challenge was to decorate real eggs for Easter using anything but your traditional dye!  Look what our team came up with.  Easter is one of the best holidays for creating and we know you all have come up with some beauties!  Please share a link to your creations in your comment.

Check out these beautifully painted eggs by Denise using creative inspirations shimmer paints and they are creatively inspiring.  You can use this paint in so many ways!

Terry made three unique creations after blowing out the insides of her unboiled eggs.  The blue egg is embroidery floss twirled and glued around the outside of the egg.  The yellow egg is covered in beautiful Prima flowers with a pearl center.  Both are inspired by Martha Stewart for more details, please see Terry's blog!  The last egg is for fun and is all dressed in her Sunday best.  Enjoy!
